^{Slate carving is not very famous in India and that’s where our depth and penetration and ability to connect with artisans of various uncommon art forms comes in to play. The entire slate carving is done by making various levels of scratches over the black slate in a specific angle so that it makes shades and you can see the image out of it. Since the slate stone is built with lots of thin layers hence unlike any other carving work, the use of hammer is not possible but the artisan has to do the carving work carefully with the help of a sharp knife. The hands and fingers have to remain in sync for a very long time as a little strong scratch can damage the entire artwork.}
